Intaglio Printing – Initial

Intaglio printing is a fascinating blend of tradition, technique, and creativity. In this course, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to the basics—how it works, where it comes from, and the tools and materials involved. Initially, we’ll explore classic methods alongside creative twists like dry point printing on Tetra Pak and CDS. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to expand your skills, this is a great place to start building a strong foundation.

• Basic concepts of intaglio printing.
• History of intaglio printing.
• Basic Techniques of Intaglio Printing.
• Use of tools, Color theory and material knowledge.
• Paper cutting, plate beveling and registration.
• Color scheme chart.
• Introduction to Dry Point.
• Dry point printing process.
• 2 Tones Dry point printing.
• Introduction to Tetra Pak Dry point.
• Tetra Pak Dry point printing process.
• Introduction to CD Dry point.
• CD Dry point printing process.
• Print labelling.

After completing this course, you will gain an understanding of different intaglio printing techniques and processes, as well as an introduction to the applications used and their differences.

Additionally, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
